I hadn’t done hot yoga since my freshman year in college (8 years ago, whoa); I didn’t hate it, but I was a bigger cardio queen back then than I am now, so it just wasn’t on my radar.
But a friend of mine was trying it in the New Year, so I decided I would too. After many failed attempts at scheduling a class together, I had to go solo to the 6 AM class today. Whether my newfound appreciation for yoga in my “adult” life, or the fact that I was sweating my
ba buns off and had to work hard, I loved it! I loved the feeling both during and after, despite going first thing in the morning and not conciously hydrating hours before as recommended. There were a couple times when I felt of wave of dehydration, but it was nothing a sip of water couldn’t fix. There are so many benefits, both physically and mentally, that I am going to try to keep it up. I have already booked another class for Friday!
